The Board of Review is responsible for overseeing and approving the annual Assessment Roll after it is prepared by the City Assessor. The Board hears appeals of individual assessments in March and determines if the value placed on the appealed parcels is accurate. The Board also approves changes made to correct clerical errors and make other adjustments to the Roll in July and December. Members must be a registered elector and property owner in the City of Portland.
