The City will be completing the sewer and manhole lining at the intersection of Kent Street and Grand River Avenue, which is anticipated to be the last portion of the wastewater system improvements project to significantly impact traffic operations in the City.
During the work, the center turn lane on Grand River Avenue will be closed between the Grand River bridge and Maple Street, maintaining two-way traffic on opposite sides of the closure.
The 100 block of Kent Street (Grand River Avenue to Bridge Street) will also be closed to southbound traffic and parking on the west side of the street during the work.
Kent Street will remain open to northbound traffic and parking on the east side of the street.
Left turns will be prohibited at the Kent Street and Grand River Avenue intersection during the work.
Work is expected to take just one day to complete and is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, August 7.
